Air Import Operator

About the role

We are seeking two Air Import Operators to manage end‑to‑end air freight imports for a major freight forwarder based near Heathrow. The role involves handling shipments from origin to final destination while ensuring compliance with customs regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deal with all air import shipments from start to finish.
• Prepare and process all necessary documentation for importing goods via airfreight.
• Process customs entries using CDS on Cargowise.
• Coordinate with customs authorities to secure timely clearance, classification and duty compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing status updates and handling inquiries.
• Monitor freight movement from origin to destination and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare quotations and invoice shipments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience in air import handling.
• Experience with CDS entry and Cargowise.
• Full, checkable DBS clearance.
• Willingness to work Monday‑Friday 9‑hour shifts; hours negotiable.
• Ability to work on‑site with occasional remote work after training.
