Analyst / Associate Vice President, Client Relations – EMEA Insurance

About the role

AbGlobal is hiring an analyst for its Insurance Strategy Team (IST), part of the Global Insurance team within the firm's Client Group. The IST supports existing insurance clients and helps develop new business through client service, CRM management, prospecting, product and solutions support, and business management. The role is based in London.

Key responsibilities

• Client service: oversee day-to-day servicing of client accounts, deliver reports and materials, field ad-hoc queries, arrange portfolio reviews and presentations, and route transactional requests.
• Prospecting and new business: arrange meetings, prepare prep memos, research public filings, build presentation materials, track follow-ups, facilitate RFPs and questionnaires, and host meetings with Insurance Advisors.
• Product management: develop and maintain materials and presentations for each investment strategy offered to insurers, including thematic decks and conference presentations.
• Marketing: support monthly or bi-monthly thought leadership newsletters, client events, symposiums, sponsorships and the insurance website.
• RFP support: work with the RFP team so that descriptions of AB's insurance capabilities match the firm's positioning.
• Solutions and analytical support: support strategic asset allocations, peer analysis and other quantitative work with clients and prospects.
• M&A support: provide analytical support to insurance M&A and partnership opportunities.
• Product development: help drive new insurance-oriented composites.
• Executive business support: maintain activity dashboards and prepare executive presentations.
• Partner with the Data Science team to improve insurance prospecting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics or Marketing, with an excellent academic record.
• IMC preferred or willing to attain.
• 2-5 years of experience, preferably in financial services or insurance.
• Strong client focus, collaboration across levels, relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and solve problems analytically.

Required skills

• Fluent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.
