Analyst, European Treasury

About the role

Checkout.com's finance department is looking for a hands-on Analyst, European Treasury who can provide experienced support to the Payments Team Manager with a proven ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision. The role suits an independent, high-achieving person in an entrepreneurial environment and offers the chance to deepen knowledge of payments and operational finance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external queries
• Calculate and execute adjustments to merchant pay-outs
• Monitor merchant accounts, including setting security deposits and thresholds in cooperation with internal departments
• Monitor and reconcile transactions and payment volumes across all systems daily
• Manage email correspondence and statement distribution to major merchants
• Handle merchant payment queries and investigations
• Review processing data and analysis, and produce weekly and monthly reports
• Take part in ongoing projects developing back-office systems and review processes and procedures
• Liaise with third-party providers such as banks
• Resolve customer queries using strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of the systems
• Support the wider team, including the Senior Client Services Specialist, and carry out ad hoc reporting

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in the financial services industry
• In-depth understanding of transactional payment processes
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight delivery schedules and to prioritise
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a process-oriented approach and high attention to detail
• Excellent time management and collaborative, proactive attitude

Required skills

• High-level proficiency with MS Excel (highly desirable)
• Understanding of processes and organisation
