Analyst, Sustainable Business & Finance (12-Month Fixed Term)

About the role

CDP, a global non-profit behind the independent environmental disclosure system, is hiring an Analyst for its Sustainable Business team in London. The role works with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to turn CDP data into insights on financial sector transition planning and sustainable finance. It is a hybrid, fixed-term position of 12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with external partners and internal teams to develop insights on financial sector transition planning
• Analyse data from CDP's questionnaire to inform collaborative research and shape external recommendations
• Support the development and execution of sustainable finance research, including project coordination, research and analysis, and delivering webinars where appropriate
• Contribute to projects inside and outside CDP, and conduct research supporting position papers
• Respond to ad-hoc requests for insights and analysis

Required profile

• Experience with environmental data, disclosures and/or transition planning, especially for the financial sector
• Background in environment, GHG and/or financial accounting, with the ability to build knowledge quickly
• Excellent written and verbal English, with a track record of written research outputs, preferably for a corporate audience
• Understanding of the corporate reporting landscape and investor expectations on climate and nature issues
• Detail-oriented, able to handle competing priorities, and a self-starter
• Eligible to work in the UK and living within commuting distance of the London office; the role is not sponsored

• PowerBI, Python or R desirable; GIS a plus

• Salary of £32,157 to £40,197 per year, depending on experience and location
