Android Developer (12-month Fixed-Term)

About the role

We are looking for an Android Developer to join Aegon’s Mylo team in Edinburgh on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will help evolve our market‑leading Android app, working closely with the Lead Android Developer and product team to design, build and ship new features.

Key responsibilities

• Follow industry‑standard mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM) in all development work.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure app reliability.
• Own the full mobile development lifecycle: build, test, package and deploy the application.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups and retrospectives.

Required profile

• Solid experience developing Android applications.
• Extensive knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Ability to assess feasibility of product features and deliver high‑quality code quickly.
• Experience working in an agile, collaborative environment.
