Application Engineer - Web Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Engineer/Web Developer to join a forward‑thinking technology team. You will help design, build and maintain high‑quality digital platforms, focusing on scalable, reusable UI component libraries and engineering best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance global web applications using modern Angular (v18+) and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain reusable UI component libraries, leveraging standalone components, server‑side rendering and Nx monorepo tooling.
• Document components with Storybook, including accessibility audits and MDX documentation.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, lint, test and publishing workflows.
• Deploy and support applications on AWS infrastructure.
• Promote Test‑Driven Development, Behaviour‑Driven Development and clean code standards.
• Integrate AI‑powered tools and testing solutions into engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with technical leads, IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
• Review technical documentation and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with IT security policies.

Required profile

• Proven commercial experience as a web developer, preferably with Angular 18+.
• Strong understanding of modern front‑end engineering practices and component‑driven development.
• Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills for knowledge sharing, mentoring and stakeholder collaboration.
