Application Support Engineer – Hybrid – £26K‑£28K + Bonus

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to provide hands‑on support for our core SaaS platforms. The role is hybrid, based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, and works on a rotational shift pattern. You will work closely with DevOps, infrastructure and other teams to ensure service stability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on application support across core platforms and manage support tickets.
• Escalate issues appropriately and collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure and other teams.
• Monitor remote client servers for stability and performance.
• Manage user accounts and portal access for clients.
• Contribute to deployments, change and configuration projects and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Application Support or 1st/2nd line support.
• Strong hands‑on SQL skills (Azure SQL experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with Active Directory / Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Ability to support users remotely.
• Understanding of ITIL, Change Management or similar methodologies.
