Apprentice 7.5t Driver – Urban Driver Apprenticeship

About the role

This 15‑month Urban Driver Apprenticeship will train you to become a professional 7.5t driver. You will work towards obtaining a Category C1 licence and a CPC licence while gaining hands‑on experience in delivery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Represent DX professionally at all times.
• Complete all apprenticeship training tasks, including office work, driver‑mate duties and warehousing.
• Drive vehicles safely and legally, adhering to company and regulatory requirements.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, report defects immediately and complete required paperwork.
• Scan all products using DX equipment and ensure safe loading of deliveries.
• Follow DX procedures, manage routing for timed deliveries, and use PPE correctly.
• Report any on‑road or delivery issues to the traffic office promptly.
• Deliver goods in excellent condition and handle customer interactions politely.
• Carry out collections according to given instructions and schedules.

Required profile

• Eligibility to obtain a Category C1 (7.5t) licence.
• Willingness to acquire a CPC licence, a legal requirement for LGV vehicles.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Commitment to complete the full 15‑month apprenticeship programme.
