About the role

Key responsibilities

• Complete basic soldier training and maintain fitness standards.
• Undertake practical work in a chosen trade such as plumbing, bricklaying, carpentry, culinary arts, driving, business administration, ICT or engineering.
• Attend classroom and on‑the‑job learning sessions to achieve nationally recognised qualifications.
• Collaborate with peers and mentors to develop technical competence and teamwork.

Required profile

• Minimum age 16 and a willingness to serve in the British Army.
• Ability to pass fitness, medical and security assessments.
