Apprenticeship Programmes Officer – London

About the role

The Marine Society & Sea Cadets is seeking an Apprenticeship Programmes Officer to support the rapid growth of its marine apprenticeships and adult skills programmes. Based at the National Support Centre in London, you will work closely with the Apprenticeship Operations Manager to ensure high‑quality delivery and strong learner outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of all apprenticeship and adult‑skills programmes, monitoring progress, off‑the‑job training and attendance.
• Provide individual support to learners, helping them overcome barriers and achieve progression.
• Implement and maintain the new Learner Management System to capture accurate data and improve visibility of performance.
• Assist the Lead Maritime Trainer in developing the Google Classroom online portfolio and electronic training record book.
• Generate regular reports and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives to enhance compliance and retention.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating apprenticeship or adult‑learning programmes.
• Strong commitment to delivering a high‑quality learner experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, cadets, volunteers and external partners.

Required skills

• Learner Management System (LMS) usage.
• Google Classroom administration.
