Apprenticeship Skills Coach – AI & Automation (Level 4)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach to guide learners through the Level 4 Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Automation Practitioner apprenticeship. In this remote‑hybrid position you will support apprentices as they develop AI, automation and data‑driven decision‑making capabilities, helping them achieve successful completion and pass the End Point Assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one coaching and mentoring for apprentices on the AI & Automation Practitioner Level 4 programme.
• Deliver engaging virtual coaching sessions, workshops and progress reviews.
• Assist apprentices in building their portfolios and gathering evidence for the End Point Assessment.
• Monitor learner progress, identify issues early and provide timely support.
• Collaborate with employers to keep apprentices on track and ensure compliance with ESFA apprenticeship regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Apprenticeship Skills Coach, trainer or assessor.
• Strong knowledge of AI, automation and related digital technologies.
• Background in delivering or supporting IT or data apprenticeships (Level 3 or Level 4 preferred).
• Understanding of apprenticeship standards, funding rules and EPA processes.
• Relevant qualifications such as CAVA, TAQA, A1 Assessing, or a teaching qualification (AET or equivalent) are desirable.
