Apprenticeship Trainer – Plumbing & Heating

About the role

Join an established Further Education provider as an Apprenticeship Trainer in Plumbing & Heating. You will guide apprentices both on campus and in the workplace, helping them acquire the technical competence and industry knowledge needed for successful careers.

Key responsibilities

• Support Plumbing & Heating apprentices throughout their training programme.
• Deliver training in classroom, workshop and workplace settings.
• Conduct progress reviews and provide developmental feedback.
• Build strong relationships with employers to facilitate workplace learning.
• Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records and promote additional training opportunities.
• Travel across the local area to visit apprentices in their workplaces.

Required profile

• Industry experience within Plumbing & Heating installation.
• Level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Heating or a related discipline.
• Strong practical knowledge of current industry standards and practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to motivate and support apprentices of varying abilities.
• Teaching, assessing or training experience desirable but not essential.
• Full support available for candidates seeking teaching qualifications.
