Approved Electrician – Energy & Petrol Stations

About the role

Our client, a specialist environmental risk management business, is expanding its UK‑wide electrician team. The Approved Electrician will work on commercial and industrial sites, with a focus on petrol filling stations, delivering high‑quality electrical installations, maintenance and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and carry out electrical maintenance, installations, inspections and testing for commercial and industrial clients nationwide.
• Liaise with customers on‑site to discuss ongoing works and identify additional service opportunities.
• Prepare and submit documentation such as test certifications and Risk Assessments/Method Statements (RAMS) to meet audit and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Work independently in hazardous areas while maintaining strong teamwork and communication with engineers, management and support staff.
• Travel to remote sites as required, including occasional overnight stays, ensuring all client locations pass annual compliance audits.

Required profile

• C&G 2330 (or equivalent) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Certification and C&G 2391 (or equivalent) for periodic testing and inspections.
• Hold a JIB Gold Card or ECS Gold Card.
• Valid, clean UK driving licence.
• Proven experience completing electrical works in industrial or commercial settings.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards and ability to produce RAMS documentation.
