Approved Electrician – Full‑time, £55‑60k + Benefits

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established infrastructure services business that delivers critical electrical works to commercial and industrial clients across the UK. This full‑time, permanent position is based in Edinburgh and offers a competitive salary package with overtime, door‑to‑door pay, a company van and fuel card.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, inspection and testing on a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial sites.
• Perform reactive and remedial duties, ensuring all work meets health and safety standards.
• Liaise directly with clients on‑site to discuss progress and identify further service needs.
• Complete test certifications and RAMS documentation to the required standard.
• Represent the business professionally at all times while working largely independently.

Required profile

• C&G 2330 (or equivalent) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition certification.
• C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing) qualification.
• JIB Gold Card or ECS Gold Card.
• Valid, clean UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and a confident, self‑starting attitude.

Required skills

• Electrical installation in commercial/industrial environments.
• Electrical inspection and testing.
• Preparation of RAMS documentation.
• CompEx Ex07 & Ex08 (supported by the employer if not already held).
