Approved Electrician – Inspection & Testing (Reading)

About the role

We are recruiting an Approved Electrician to carry out inspection and testing on commercial and industrial sites across the Reading area. You will work largely independently while being supported by a dedicated engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical inspection and testing duties on a varied portfolio of sites.
• Liaise directly with clients on‑site to discuss ongoing works and identify further service needs.
• Complete test certifications and RAMS documentation to the required standard.
• Represent the business professionally at all times.
• Travel across the M4 corridor and surrounding area as required.

Required profile

• C&G 2330 or equivalent (or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation).
• 18th Edition Certification.
• C&G 2391 or equivalent (Inspection & Testing).
• JIB Gold Card or ECS Gold Card.
• Valid, clean UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

What we offer

• Salary £38,500 – £43,000 per year plus realistic overtime (total earnings £50k‑£55k).
