Approved Electrician – Newcastle Upon Tyne

About the role

We are recruiting an Approved Electrician for a well‑established infrastructure services business operating across the UK. Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, you will deliver critical electrical works for commercial and industrial clients, including fuel retail and forecourt sites. The role offers a permanent, full‑time contract with a competitive salary package and the chance to develop further qualifications such as CompEx.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, inspection and testing on a variety of commercial and industrial sites.
• Perform reactive and remedial duties, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Liaise directly with clients on‑site to discuss progress and identify additional service needs.
• Complete test certifications, RAMS documentation and other required paperwork to a high standard.
• Represent the business professionally at all times while working largely independently.

Required profile

• Valid C&G 2330 (or equivalent) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Certification and C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing) qualification.
• JIB Gold Card or ECS Gold Card.
• Hands‑on experience in commercial or industrial electrical environments.
• Clean UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and the ability to work autonomously.
