Arboricultural Consultant

About the role

Ground Control is seeking an Arboricultural Consultant to deliver high‑quality tree surveys, risk assessments and preservation advice across its portfolio of commercial properties. The role combines field work with report writing and client interaction, supporting sustainable development outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed tree surveys and produce professional arboricultural reports.
• Carry out tree risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies in line with BS5837 and Tree Preservation Orders.
• Advise clients, contractors and internal teams on tree preservation, management and regulatory compliance.
• Utilise GIS and mapping tools to record and analyse arboricultural data.
• Collaborate with the consultancy team and senior leadership to ensure project delivery and support career progression.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tree surveys, risk assessments and preservation strategies.
• Familiarity with UK regulations such as BS5837 and TPO legislation.
• Strong communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
• Commitment to sustainability and biodiversity.
