Architect / Architectural Technologist – Project Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist to lead projects from concept through to completion. The role is based in Leeds and offers a hybrid working model within a collaborative, award‑winning practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects through all RIBA work stages, from concept to handover.
• Manage project delivery, ensuring quality, programme and budget targets are met.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants and contractors.
• Produce and review technical drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Chair and attend client, design and site meetings.
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, CDM requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee BIM coordination and technical design using Revit.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified Architect (ARB registered) or Architectural Technologist (CIAT membership desirable).
• Significant post‑qualification experience with proven project‑running capability.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Building Safety legislation.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Leadership, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage project performance.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, education or public sector projects is advantageous.
