Architect – Design & Technical Role

About the role

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and self‑motivated Architect to join our Glasgow office. The role involves working across a broad range of sectors, including housing, commercial, healthcare, interior design and low‑carbon energy infrastructure, delivering high‑quality contemporary design.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and detailed architectural solutions for projects in urban and rural settings.
• Produce fully resolved construction detailing packages and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with current Technical Standards and regulations.
• Manage project stages from schematic design through construction documentation.
• Contribute to projects involving listed buildings and low‑carbon energy infrastructure.

Required profile

• Registered with the ARB and holding at least 5‑6 years of post‑qualification experience in a UK architectural practice.
• Strong passion for high‑quality contemporary design.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and fluency in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• High proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Competency with Revit, Adobe Suite, SketchUp and V‑Ray (advantageous).
• Experience with timber kit housing (advantageous).
• Solid understanding of construction detailing and current Technical Standards.
