Architect - Healthcare Projects

About the role

A progressive, people-focused architectural practice with a strong presence in the healthcare sector is expanding its Cardiff studio and is recruiting a qualified Architect. You will work closely with senior designers and technical teams to deliver high-quality schemes, take ownership of projects and develop your leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through to completion
• Develop design proposals and detailed design packages
• Manage multiple projects, keeping them on time and within budget
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants
• Support fee management, invoicing and commercial awareness
• Contribute to new business opportunities and wider practice growth

Required profile

• RIBA Part 3 qualification with up to 5 years post-qualification experience
• Experience in a design-led, delivery-focused UK practice
• Experience across large-scale projects, ideally in healthcare or similar complex sectors
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to build relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Good technical knowledge of UK building regulations

Required skills

• Strong design, presentation and communication skills
• Revit; Enscape is advantageous
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop / InDesign) desirable
• CodeBook / Activity Database experience desirable
