Architect – Transport & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking an Architect to join its Architecture Team in the UK, working on transport and infrastructure projects such as passenger stations, rail depots and energy‑from‑waste facilities. The role involves technical coordination of design packages under the guidance of the Principal Architect.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver architectural design packages in line with project standards and client requirements.
• Produce standard architectural deliverables, drawings, schedules and calculations using CAD software.
• Coordinate with in‑house technicians, external design partners and multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead technical design, construction and hand‑over stages (Work Stages 4‑8).
• Provide technical assistance to site personnel and advise contractors and consultants.

Required profile

• Experience in architectural design for transport or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage and mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills to handle multiple design streams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with industry‑standard CAD modelling software.
