Architectural Technician – 3‑Month Contract

About the role

An established architecture and design practice in Richmond-upon-Thames is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician on a three‑month contract. You will support the delivery of leisure, spa and fitness projects, producing high‑quality technical drawings and construction documentation while collaborating closely with architects, designers, consultants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans and construction packages using AutoCAD.
• Develop and coordinate technical information across all project stages.
• Assist with planning applications, building regulations submissions and technical approvals.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders to maintain design intent.
• Review and update drawing packages in line with project requirements and site conditions.
• Support project delivery from concept through to construction.

Required profile

• Proven experience working as an Architectural Technician within an architectural practice.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
• Experience producing technical drawing packages for planning and construction.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
