Architectural Technologist

About the role

An established AJ100 architectural practice in London is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join its forward‑thinking studio. The role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, education, commercial, healthcare and hospitality projects, contributing to sustainable design and community‑focused outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the technical delivery of residential and mixed‑use developments of varying scale.
• Produce comprehensive technical drawing packages across multiple RIBA work stages.
• Prepare detailed plans, sections, elevations and construction details.
• Support Building Regulations applications and ensure compliance with current standards.
• Collaborate with consultants and project teams to coordinate technical information.
• Attend site meetings and contribute to successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Degree or qualification in Architectural Technology or a closely related subject.
• CIAT membership or active pursuit of Chartership (advantageous).
• Previous experience within a UK architectural practice.
• Strong organisational skills and keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit (beneficial).
• Sound understanding of UK Building Regulations and technical detailing.
