Area Manager – Charity Retail (London)

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑driven Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of charity retail stores across London. You will combine strong commercial thinking with operational excellence to maximise sales, profitability and social impact in a second‑hand fashion environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales, profitability and KPI performance across multiple locations.
• Lead pricing strategy for second‑hand product and fashion categories.
• Use data and commercial insight to influence decisions and improve outcomes.
• Maintain high retail standards, visual merchandising excellence and stock optimisation.
• Coach, develop and inspire store teams, fostering an inclusive, accountable culture.
• Ensure consistent processes, reporting and standards across the multi‑site operation.
• Collaborate with Retail, Commercial, E‑commerce and Visual Merchandising teams.

Required profile

• Proven multi‑site retail leadership experience (Area, Regional or District Manager level).
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sales and KPI targets.
• Background in charity, second‑hand, fashion or value‑led retail environments.
• Experience in pricing, visual merchandising and stock management.
• Excellent organisational skills and confidence managing complexity.
• Collaborative, resilient and values‑led leadership style.
