Area Manager – Large‑Format Retail

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead a portfolio of stores for a fast‑paced, large‑format retailer in the UK. You will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring exceptional customer service, and fostering a positive culture across your geographical area.

Key responsibilities

• Create a positive and engaging working environment within each site.
• Set and maintain high standards in service, operations, and health & safety.
• Manage profit and loss, budgets, sales forecasting and other key performance indicators.
• Liaise with head office and build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Support company events, local marketing initiatives and share successes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Area, Cluster or Regional Manager in a large‑format retail environment.
• Strong leadership style with the ability to inspire and engage large teams.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering strong financial results and high customer service standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

• Salary between £70,000 and £75,000 per year, dependent on experience.
