Area Sales Manager - Building & Roofing Products

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for promoting and selling a range of rolled lead, hard‑metal roofing and related products across a defined territory in South East England. You will work with independent builders merchants, roofing merchants and buying groups, as well as contractors and roof installers, to grow market share.

Key responsibilities

• Sell rolled lead, hard‑metal roofing and ancillary products to independent builders merchants, roofing merchants and national buying groups.
• Develop relationships with contractors, roofers and installation firms to generate demand.
• Achieve turnover targets for a well‑established geographic area covering multiple postcodes.
• Maintain a pipeline of accounts and report sales activity to the regional team.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling building or roofing products to merchants or contractors.
• Ability to work autonomously, self‑motivated and manage own schedule.
• Comfortable with IT tools and basic computer literacy.

Required skills

• Sales experience in the construction or building‑materials sector.

• Salary £45,000‑£50,000 per annum plus a £2,500 bonus.
