Area Sales Manager – Roofing and Waterproofing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales of our exclusive range of cold‑applied, liquid waterproofing systems across North and East London and East Anglia. The role is field‑based, focusing on building relationships with roofing contractors and managing key merchant accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business and grow existing accounts (c. £600,000) by selling to roofing contractors (≈80% of time).
• Maintain and develop relationships with roofing and builders merchants across ~12 branches, including Enfield, Rainham and Walthamstow (≈20% of time).
• Achieve a first‑year new‑business target of around £250,000 while supporting existing revenue.
• Prepare weekly and quarterly sales reports and forecast order values (£5,000‑£10,000 per order).
• Collaborate with the distribution channel to convert warm leads into sales.

Required profile

• Proven field‑sales track record in the roofing industry, preferably flat‑roofing.
• Experience selling directly to roofing contractors and/or through merchant channels.
• Strong knowledge of the construction sector and ability to build confidence with customers.
• Self‑motivated, autonomous and capable of clear verbal and written communication.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary £45,000‑£50,000 per year.
• Uncapped OTE with potential earnings up to £70,000.
