Area Sales Manager – Roofing Products

About the role

This is a field‑based sales position focused on natural roofing slate. You will be responsible for growing the business across Bristol, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset and surrounding areas, targeting roofing contractors, merchants, builders merchants, architects and specifiers.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell a range of natural roofing slate products to the specified market.
• Develop new business opportunities in a newly created territory.
• Leverage existing contacts and build relationships with roofing contractors, merchants and specifiers.
• Plan and manage the sales territory as if it were your own business.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in roofing sales, preferably to both contractors and merchants.
• Experience in specification sales and/or working for a manufacturer is advantageous.
• Self‑motivated, commercially astute and capable of autonomous territory management.
• Strong communication and territory planning abilities.
