Area Sales Manager - Safety Barriers & Solutions

About the role

This is a field‑based sales position focused on selling a high‑quality range of safety solutions to large industrial end‑users across Yorkshire & Humberside. You will work directly with customers such as DHL, Nestlé and BMW, promoting products that protect people and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell safety barriers, bollards, height restrictors, safety gates and related products to large industrial clients.
• Generate new business and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure.
• Achieve a turnover target of £1 million + and meet agreed sales KPIs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored, solution‑based proposals.

Required profile

• Proven field‑sales experience in industrial doors, safety solutions or a comparable product range.
• Demonstrated business‑development capability, preferably selling to large end‑users.
• Experience in solution‑based selling where quality is the focus rather than price.
• Ability to work independently across the assigned geographic area.

Required skills

• Product knowledge of safety barriers, bollards, height restrictors, safety gates, guard rails, industrial doors, high‑speed doors, shutters, balustrades, bumpers and wall protection systems.
