Area Sales Manager – Wood Flooring & Laminate

About the role

The role is a field‑based sales position responsible for promoting and selling a client’s range of laminate, engineered hardwood and SPC flooring across the South and South‑East of England. You will build exclusive partnerships with retail showrooms and stimulate demand through trade installers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage exclusive relationships with up to 50 flooring retail showrooms.
• Allocate roughly 60 % of time to onboarding and growing showroom partnerships.
• Spend the remaining 40 % generating demand via trade flooring installers and fit‑out contractors.
• Maintain and grow a regional turnover of approximately £2.5 million, collaborating with head‑office on the accessories portfolio.
• Shift market perception of the client from an accessories supplier to a full‑range flooring provider.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling wood flooring, laminate or SPC flooring.
• Track record of selling into retail showrooms and, ideally, to flooring installers.
• Strong network within the flooring retail and trade sector.
• High energy, tenacity and ability to hit the ground running.
