Area Sales Representative – Building Products (6‑12 month contract)

About the role
This temporary position (6‑12 months) is a field‑based sales role focused on promoting a high‑quality range of engineered wood products across East Anglia and North East London. You will manage a large national builder‑merchant account (Travis Perkins) and support new product launches.
Key responsibilities
- Cover a wide geographic area (HU, DN, NG, LN, PE, NR, IP, CM, CO, AL, SG, CB & North East London).
- Maintain and grow relationships with approximately 130 Travis Perkins branches.
- Support new product introductions and pricing implementation.
- Liaise with internal customer service, marketing, supply, and transport teams.
- Monitor and manage vendor performance.
Required profile
- Field‑based experience in the building trade, preferably in area sales or business development.
- Experience dealing with national merchants and managing large accounts.
- Background in selling timber or wood products is advantageous but not essential.

What we offer
- Salary £50,000 per year plus a 5‑10% performance bonus.
- £6,600 annual car allowance or company car.
