Art and Photography Teacher

About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Art and Photography Teacher to join the vibrant team at Portslade Aldridge Community Academy. You will work with students aged 11‑16, delivering creative and inclusive lessons that inspire curiosity and confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging art and photography curriculum aligned with national standards.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and track progress.
- Maintain a well‑managed, safe classroom environment and oversee photography equipment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and contribute to departmental development.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, trips and enrichment programmes.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong passion for teaching art and photography.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive practice and student wellbeing.
- Early‑career teachers are encouraged to apply.
