Articulated Truck Driver – Fixed‑Term (24 months)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced articulated truck driver to join our team on a 24‑month fixed‑term basis at the Caterpillar site in Peterlee, North East England. You will work alongside a dedicated crew of test drivers, ensuring the performance and quality of articulated trucks meet company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate articulated trucks on test routes and perform performance checks.
• Follow standard work practices, health & safety, and PPE requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections and report any defects to the line leader.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety procedures.
• Meet daily production targets and support the test‑driver team.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Ability to read and interpret working instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and hand‑eye coordination.
• Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment and collaborating with a team.
