Asbestos Laboratory Analyst – Waltham Cross

About the role

Join a UKAS‑accredited asbestos consultancy as an Asbestos Laboratory Analyst in Waltham Cross. You will work in a modern laboratory environment, analysing bulk samples to accurately identify asbestos fibres while receiving structured training and supportive management for long‑term career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse asbestos bulk samples using Polarised Light Microscopy (PLM) in line with HSG248 guidance.
• Identify asbestos fibre types and record findings accurately.
• Process samples within agreed turnaround times and produce clear analytical reports.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and support quality‑assurance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UKAS standards and internal laboratory protocols.
• Keep the laboratory clean, organised and safe.

Required profile

• BOHS P401 qualification (or equivalent) – desirable.
• Previous experience as an Asbestos Laboratory Analyst or Bulk Analyst.
• Strong understanding of HSG248 and UKAS laboratory requirements.
• High attention to detail, excellent organisational abilities and strong communication skills.
• Professional, reliable and quality‑focused approach.
