Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst – Full‑time (Swindon)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join a well‑established asbestos consultancy with offices across the UK. The role is based in Swindon and involves delivering accurate asbestos surveys, sampling and analysis for a range of high‑profile clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos inspections, surveys, sampling and analysis in line with statutory and company requirements.
• Produce clear survey reports, site plans, technical documents, specifications, method statements and related documentation.
• Manage abatement schemes following legislative guidance, contractual obligations and internal safety procedures (RAMs, LARC, PoW).
• Maintain compliance with UKAS‑accredited quality management systems and quality assurance procedures.
• Represent the company professionally on‑site, during client meetings and in the office.
• Work safely, considering the impact of activities on all stakeholders.
• Undertake additional duties as required by management.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of current asbestos industry practices and developments.
• Understanding of compliant inspection, surveying and analytical methods.
• Awareness of relevant legislation and guidance for asbestos surveying and analysis.
• Experience working across a range of sites and sectors.
• Mandatory qualifications: BOHS P402, P403, P404 (or RSPH equivalent).
• Desirable qualifications: BOHS P406, W504 (S301), CoCA.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate problem‑solving skills and be flexible and reliable.
• IT literacy, preferably with experience using PDAs or reporting software.
• A professional, client‑focused attitude with attention to detail.
