Asbestos Surveyor – Permanent, Basildon

About the role

We are an established asbestos consultancy with over three decades of experience, seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our Basildon team. The role offers autonomy, accuracy‑focused work and support from a collaborative, quality‑led environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Management, Refurbishment and Demolition asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Identify and assess asbestos‑containing materials across diverse site types.
• Produce accurate, compliant and well‑presented survey reports.
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors and internal colleagues.
• Manage workloads and project deadlines while maintaining technical standards.
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance and best practice.

Required profile

• BOHS P402 (or equivalent) qualification.
• Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS‑accredited consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
