ASD Support Assistant – Hermitage

About the role

This full‑time position supports children on the autism spectrum in a welcoming school environment in Hermitage. You will work closely with pupils, teachers and SEN staff to create a calm, structured setting where each child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with autism both inside and outside the classroom.
• Help maintain a consistent, nurturing and structured learning environment.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students to support their emotional regulation.
• Assist with communication, social skills and emotional development activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals to tailor support plans.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for supporting children with autism and special educational needs.
• Interest in education, child development or related care work.
• Graduates or individuals with experience in care or support roles are welcome.
