ASD Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support for KS2 Pupils

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a Key Stage 2 pupil with autism in a primary school in Enfield. The role starts in September and runs on a full‑time, long‑term basis.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver daily 1:1 assistance, focusing on academic progress, social interaction and emotional wellbeing.
- Implement tailored support strategies and behaviour management techniques aligned with the pupil’s Individual Education Plan.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent, engaging learning experiences.
- Monitor and record the pupil’s development and adjust interventions as needed.
- Support classroom activities and facilitate inclusion within the wider class.
Required profile
- Proven experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong patience, empathy and confidence to work in a primary school environment.
- Ability to commute to Enfield and commit to a full‑time schedule from September.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
