ASD Teaching Assistant – Full‑Time, Reading

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Reading. The role involves supporting neurodiverse pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them navigate the school day, regulate emotions, and engage with learning in a structured environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students with ASD.
• Assist pupils in managing sensory and emotional challenges throughout the day.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN professionals, and therapists to implement individualized strategies.
• Facilitate access to curriculum content and promote independence.

Required profile

• Graduate in Psychology, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience working with children with special educational needs.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting autistic learners.
• Ability to work full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm.
