ASD Teaching Assistant – Reading Primary School

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Reading. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support for pupils with autism, helping them build confidence and achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality classroom and one‑to‑one support for autistic pupils.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and progress.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and the SENCO to plan and implement support.
- Promote independence, communication and emotional wellbeing.
