Asphalt Plant Operator – Carlisle

About the role

Breedon Group plc is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to join its Carlisle site. Reporting to the Asphalt Plant Manager, you will be responsible for batching asphalt, maintaining plant equipment, and supporting daily site operations while upholding safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Batch asphalt and conduct routine maintenance of the asphalt plant.
• Operate loading shovel and weighbridge in line with safety and operational procedures.
• Assist with day‑to‑day site operations and promote a strong safety culture.
• Follow established procedures for operating plant control systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an asphalt plant is beneficial.
• Positive attitude towards health and safety.
• Flexibility and adaptability in work approach.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure, including occasional night work.
