Aspiring Physics Teacher – Permanent £36,500 Contract

About the role
This is a full‑time, permanent position for an aspiring physics teacher in a secondary school in the Borough of Westminster. You will work across the physics department, supporting KS3‑5 lessons and focusing on raising attainment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver and support physics lessons for KS3‑4 (and occasional KS5) classes.
- Assist with GCSE and A‑Level interventions to improve student outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Head Teacher and department staff to enhance the quality of learning.
- Participate in the salaried Schools Direct programme, enrolling in September 2026 or 2027.
Required profile
- Desirable degree in physics or a closely related subject from a reputable university.
- Strong GCSE and A‑Level results across the board.
- Confidence in delivering both GCSE and A‑Level physics curricula.
- Ability to engage, motivate and support students.
- Commitment and ambition to succeed in a teaching career.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the UK GCSE and A‑Level physics curriculum.
- Classroom management and lesson planning abilities.
- Effective communication and student motivation techniques.
