About the role
Are you wanting to make a difference for children and young people with special needs? This specialist school in Woking is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aspiring Social Worker/Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join the team, supporting pupils with special educational, social, emotional and mental health needs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with the learning experience.
- Provide dedicated support to pupils with learning, physical, sensory, or behavioural challenges.
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group support, building trusted relationships.
- Follow and implement safeguarding guidelines in the classroom.
- Attend staff meetings and complete relevant CPD.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
- Enhanced DBS check (or overseas police check) required.
- Ability to commute to Woking and start in September.
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday, 08:30‑15:30, term‑time only.
What we offer

- Daily rate of £93‑£105, PAYE.
