Assembly Fitter – Mechanical & Hydraulic Assembly

About the role

We are seeking an Assembly Fitter to join a leading supplier of specialist equipment to the aerospace sector. The role is based in a clean, purpose‑built workshop in Stroud and offers a stable, permanent Monday‑to‑Friday schedule. The company supplies specialist equipment to the aerospace sector and is experiencing growth, providing excellent earning potential through overtime and bonuses.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, build and maintain mechanical and hydraulic equipment for heavy plant, vehicles and related products.
• Perform testing and commissioning of assembled units.
• Support multi‑skill training programmes and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Assembler or Technician.
• Hands‑on experience with vehicles, plant machinery and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to commute to Stroud, Gloucestershire.
