Assembly Operative

About the role

We are looking for an Electronics Assembly Operative to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Margate. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑17:00 and a shortened Friday shift (8:00‑12:45). It starts as a temporary position with the potential to become permanent, offering a rate of £12.71 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble electronic products following written work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform soldering tasks to a high standard while meeting quality and production targets.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and ensure housekeeping standards are upheld.
• Support other areas of the production process, including dispatch, as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in electronics assembly and soldering.
• Ability to follow detailed technical documentation.
• Capable of lifting and moving items up to 11 kg.
• Comfortable working mainly seated with occasional standing and walking.
• Good eyesight across all ranges (close, colour, depth, peripheral, distance).
