Assembly Operator - Clips and Leads

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join a precision manufacturing team that produces high‑quality aerospace and defence components. You will work on assembling clips, leads and related parts, ensuring every product meets strict engineering and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble clips, leads and associated components according to engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Use hand tools and specialist equipment to perform mechanical assembly.
• Carry out visual and dimensional inspections throughout the process.
• Identify and report non‑conforming parts in line with company procedures.
• Complete production documentation accurately to maintain traceability.
• Handle components carefully to prevent damage and preserve product integrity.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to meet schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Methodical approach with a strong commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
