Assembly Operator – Full-time Temporary Role

About the role

We are seeking an Assembly Operator to join a specialist manufacturer in Bishop Auckland. The position involves hand‑assembling products in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment while working permanent day shifts. Weekly pay is provided at a rate of £13.45 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble products by hand using a variety of hand tools.
• Follow basic diagrams and instructions for product assembly.
• Perform visual quality inspections of assembled items.
• Allocate finished products for dispatch.
• Adhere to manual handling procedures at all times.
• Maintain general housekeeping, including sweeping and emptying bins.
• Strictly follow health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience with hand tools or in an assembly role is advantageous (training provided).
• High level of dexterity for handling small, fiddly components.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills on the job.
• Good reliability and attendance.
