About the role
We are seeking a Production/Assembly Technician to join a specialist engineering organisation that designs and manufactures bespoke electro‑mechanical equipment for water‑industry projects worldwide. The role offers a £29,000 starting salary, international travel and strong development opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble and test bespoke electro‑mechanical equipment.
- Carry out calibration activities and quality checks.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Support fault‑finding and troubleshooting activities.
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to deliver equipment on schedule.
- Maintain accurate production records and component traceability.
- Ensure a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Support equipment installations and service activities when required.
- Assist with stock control and maintenance of calibrated tools and equipment.
Required profile
- Experience assembling mechanical or electro‑mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and technical instructions.
- Background in a production, manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- Self‑motivated approach with a willingness to learn.
- Experience with testing, fault finding or troubleshooting equipment.
Required skills
- Assembly of mechanical or electro‑mechanical systems.

- Knowledge of bearings, seals and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with electric motors, rotating equipment and drive systems.
