Assessment Developer – Design Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Assessment Developer (Design) to create fair, valid and engaging assessments that support learners, educators and employers. The role focuses on apprenticeship and end‑point assessment programmes and is fully remote, offering the chance to shape high‑impact qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop assessment models, blueprints and strategies aligned with qualification outcomes.
• Design and quality‑assure assessment materials, tasks and mark schemes.
• Create assessments across multiple formats, including digital platforms.
• Ensure all assessments meet regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
• Support pilot testing, evaluation and continuous improvement of assessment products.
• Analyse data and stakeholder feedback to enhance validity and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience working within an awarding organisation.
• Strong understanding of assessment design principles and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with subject‑matter experts and internal stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset for interpreting data and feedback.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working fully remotely.
