Assessor – Electrical Engineering

About the role

The role involves managing a caseload of learners on electrical engineering training programmes, including full apprenticeship standards. You will design and deliver assessment activities, work closely with employers, and help learners achieve their qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, local employers and agencies to recruit learners.
• Provide guidance to learners and employers to meet learning aims and SMART objectives.
• Assess knowledge, skills and behaviours of an apprenticeship caseload and support NVQ assessments where required.
• Plan and deliver structured schemes of work and lesson plans that meet learner needs.
• Monitor learner progress in the workplace and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to programme performance management by tracking key indicators such as attendance and achievement.

Required profile

• Experience working with apprentices or learners in an engineering or technical environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships with employers and agencies.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to contractual standards.
